User has followed instructions, but is not able to map a drive to smb://the I: drive using:
PC: \\fileshares.louisville.edu/\data (I: Drive) or
Mac: smb://fileshares.louisville.edu/usr/<userID> (H: Drive)data
On occasion users will have to map to their drive share with the IP address instead of fileshares.louisvillethese.edu.
Connecting with smb://:
PC: \\136.165.239.210/\data or smb://\\136.165.239.211/\data will resolve mapping to the I: drive.
Using Mac: smb://136.165.239.210/data or smb://136.165.239.211 will work for the H/data will resolve mapping to the I: drive as well.
Additionally a Windows PC May Need to use AD if an error about GUEST connections appears
Have the user map to the H or I: Drive using AD\UserID (so that the mapping goes thru the AD domain).
