Reinstalling EndNote X9 on Mac OSX Catalina causes Word to repeatedly prompt for EndNote credentials.

1. Quit Word program.
2. Open EndNote X9 program and go to “EndNote X9” menu and select "Customizer."
3. Check the box in front of the "Cite While You Write" option in the Customizer window.
4. Click next until the Customizer is finished.
5. Then open a blank new Word document and check if they have “EndNote” tab or “EndNote X9” tab. If they have “EndNote” tab, then go to “EndNote” tab in Word and select “Preferences”.
6. Go to “Application” tab and set the Application to “EndNote” (NOT EndNote online).
7. Then click on “OK”.
8. Now try to insert couple of citations from the EndNote desktop library and check if it works.

If the issue persists, then please document the following details and add to ticket:

1. What is the version of Word?
2. What is the error message they get? If possible, please send me the screenshot of it.
3. Go to “EndNote” or “EndNote X9” tab in Word and select “Preferences” > General and take screenshot of it
