Does the University of Louisville VPN protect all of the network resources accessed while connected?

Answer:

The University of Louisville VPN system will only protect access to resources on the University's Network. If you access any other Internet resource it will not be protected by the University's VPN.

Other Information:

The IP addresses assigned to the VPN interface are from a block of IP addresses that have been set aside for internal organizational use by Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA); the Internet governing non-profit organization.01/10/2017 14:05:56 - Steven ManningAdditional comments
He installed Global Protect on his iPhone Plus according to the instructions here:
http://louisville.edu/it/departments/enterprise-security/information/vpn
He is able to connect to it on his phone. He wants to know if he is traveling and needs access to files on his LAN drives, will it work for him? He said the IP address that shows up while connecting to it now is not a UofL IP address so he is a little concerned. This will result in a Non UofL IP (136.165.x.x) being reported if your local IP is checked.
