VPN Only Encrypts Connections to University Resources
Question:
Does the University of Louisville VPN protect all of the network resources accessed while connected?
Answer:
The University of Louisville VPN system will only protect access to resources on the University's Network. If you access any other Internet resource it will not be protected by the University's VPN.
Other Information:
The IP addresses assigned to the VPN interface are from a block of IP addresses that have been set aside for internal organizational use by Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA); the Internet governing non-profit organization. This will result in a Non UofL IP (136.165.x.x) being reported if your local IP is checked.
