Naming for AD & Encryption
To name an OSX machine to report correctly in AD & encryption, open a terminal and as admin run:
- scutil –set ComputerName “machinename”
- scutil –set HostName “machinename”

Note that naming conventions determine in which container the OSX machine will show (e.g. "IT-machinename" will show in the admin/it container).
