Peoplesoft Will Not Print From Internet Explorer
Issue:
After security updates have been applied to workstations for June 2017, printing from Peoplesoft applications using Internet Explorer fails.
Resolution:
Use the Firefox web browser to print from Peoplesoft until Microsoft issues a revised patch to resolve this issue.
Additional Resolution:
The Microsoft Edge browser appeared to work in my testing of print functionality. Microsoft IE 11 worked if you used the print preview option.
Reasoning:
This issue may affect other applications that print with frames or iframes from web pages. Microsoft is aware of the issue and will be releasing a revised patch. Once the patch is available, it will be deployed to all university workstations as soon as possible. Using Firefox may be a valid workaround for any other applications that are having issues.
