How to renew license for SAS
Please note: Restart the device to prevent any pending Windows updates from interfering with the renewal process. The new license file can be copied to C:\Program Files\SASHome\licenses folder.
Option 1:
- Log on to your Microsoft Windows operating system with a user ID that has local administrator rights.
- Verify that all SAS sessions are closed or verify that the SAS expiration message window is closed.
- In Microsoft Windows 10 or Microsoft Windows 2012 Server operating environments, navigate to the Apps list.
- Right-click Renew SAS Software and select Run as administrator. If a User Access Control dialog box appears, click Allow. Otherwise, proceed to step 5.
- In the Renew SAS Software dialog box, select Browse and navigate to the SAS installation data file (SID file) on your machine. Select the file and click Open.
- Click Next.
- Verify Products and expiration dates. Click OK.
- Verify the folder where SAS was installed.
- Click Renew.
- If the license renewal is successful, the following message is displayed:
The setinit was successfully applied
