Installing Custom Jabber On Windows

Download JabberNOSSO.msi, created to avoid some issues with the stock Cisco install. Depending on your version of Windows, you may see one of these windows If you see this window, click “Run.”

If you see this window, click “More Info” and then “Run Anyway.”

The rest of the install should be the same across Windows versions, but if any prompts show up that are not pictured below, you will need to accept them to continue. Click Accept and Install.

Accept the User Account Control verification.

Once the installer is done, click on “Finish.”

Jabber should load with a screen like this. Click “Advanced settings.”

Select “Cisco IM & Presence” and then click “Save.”

Enter your user account provided by IT and click on “Continue.”

Enter the password provided by IT and click “Sign In.”

You may get a popup about an untrusted certificate – click on “Accept” – this can happen multiple times (up to 5 or 6 even); accept them all.

Click on Next if you want to read the tips or click on Skip if you want to just start using the application.
