Forgot your University of Louisville User ID? No worries. We can help you obtain your user ID. All University individuals with UofL user IDs can use this feature (employees, students, and sponsored users).
Need to obtain your User ID? Follow the steps below.
This tool cannot be used to obtain service account user IDs. If you have forgotten your service account user ID, contact our ITS HelpDesk at 502-852-7997 or at https://helpdesk.louisville.edu.
How to Use “Forgot User ID”
Using “Forgot User ID” does not claim your account. If you have not claimed your account, complete the Account Claim process. You cannot use or access your account until you complete the Account Claim process.
Click the “Forgot User ID” button above, or go to: https://identity.louisville.edu
Click the “Forgot your User ID?” link.
Enter your personal information – including your full first name, your full last name, your birthdate (in the format mm/dd/yyyy), and your non-UofL email address.
Enter your recovery email that you used during the Account Claim process for your non-UofL email address. If you have already claimed your account, enter the recovery email address you used when you claimed your account. If you have not claimed your account, enter the personal email address you used when you applied to the University as a student or an employee.
Complete the reCAPTCHA, and select the checkbox indicating that you consent to receiving emails and text messages.
Click the “Submit” button.
After clicking the “Submit” button, select how you want to receive your User ID – via your non-UofL email, via text message, or both. Then, click the “Retrieve User ID” button.
After clicking the “Retrieve User ID” button, a confirmation will appear. After receiving your forgotten User ID, click “Close”.
After you close the window, you will be automatically redirected to https://identity.louisville.edu.
