Accessing non-U of L content / resources / data remotely

The GlobalProtect VPN system is configured to only secure connections to U of L resources, content, and/or data.

Connecting to any other system does not use the virtual private network (VPN) tunnel to secure the transmission of information.

This means it cannot be used outside the country to circumvent government restricted access to services like YouTube, Netflix, or other media applications.
