Creating VPN Client Logs

The GlobalProtect VPN client logs are used to help troubleshoot client connectivity issues.

Be sure that "Portal:" is set to vpn.louisville.edu and your ULink username and password are entered on the "Settings" tab in the window that appears when you double click on the Global Protect VPN icon in the system tray.

To generate Global Protect VPN client logs follow the below steps.

  1. Go to the windows system tray

  2. click on the world globe icon

    or

    then click on the 3 lines in the top right corner and select "Settings"

     

  3. Click on the "Troubleshooting" tab in the menu bar, then click the "Collect Logs" button

    The logs will be saved to your Windows User folder with the name GlobalProtectLogs.zip

  4. Add the "GlobalProtectLogs.zip" file to the reply to this message.
