CardBox Sorting (see ticket number 27258)

 Sorting files and folders in Box.com is limited to sorting by Name, Last Modified Date, and File Size (either ascending or descending).

If a specific file order is required, prefixing numbers to the names should work. Such as:

1 This is the first file
2 This is not the first file
3 Another file - third in the list

On a related issue, it is important to note that when sharing a folder with others, naming is very important. If 15 people each share a folder named "Teaching Summary" with the rest of the 15, they will all have 15 folders named "Teaching Summary". Depending on how the permissions are set, it may be difficult to determine to whom each folder belongs. To reduce possible confusion, it is recommended to be as specific as possible in naming shared folders (Janna suggested using the professor's last name as part of the folder name, which is an excellent idea).
