Firewalls

Firewalls protect the university’s network from unauthorized access.  If you have a need for new firewall rules or changes to existing firewall rules, please submit a ticket. If you need to remove a firewall exception rule please use this form.

Custom Firewall Creation

For systems needing additional protection, units can submit a custom firewall request at an additional cost:

There is a one-time set up charge of $390 and an annual recurring charge (CAR) of $182.  Contact information of two or more users is required as they will be the only people that can request subsequent changes. 

Rule requests are carefully reviewed before any approval in order to maintain university-wide security.
