How do I highlight emails from a particular sender?
You can make messages from a particular sender stand out among all your other emails. This can make it easier to see emails from your supervisor, for instance, in a long list of new messages. Follow these steps, starting in your Outlook Inbox:
- Click View at the top of your screen.
- Click View Settings at the top left.
- Click Conditional Formatting.
- Click Add.
- Give your new rule a name, such as your supervisor's name.
- Click Font.
- Change the font, size and style (such as italics) however you wish, to create the highlighting effect you want.
- Click OK.
- Click Condition.
- Click From.
- In the Search field, type the person's last name. Double-click the person's name from the list below.
- Click OK until all windows are closed.
This person's messages will now stand out in your email list.
Note: Conditional Formatting is not available in Outlook 2011 for Mac.
